Randa Mai’s Abnormal Play
Randa Mai has been a central figure in the Japanese world of SM for three decades. Known as a performer, bakushi in video and magazine shoots, and as an educator, Randa has contributed to the history and evolution of kinbaku in nearly every area. As one of the earliest stage performers, he developed elaborate shows, often held is small strip clubs, and pioneered many of the stage techniques still used today. SM is often referred to as “abnormal play” in discussions in Japan, denoting its underground nature.
In this video, Randa demonstrates his style of “abnormal play” integrating his use of rope in SM play. His model is Ryoko Hayakawa.
